This wily red IPA gets its character from the Tasmanian hops that are full of grapefruit, pine, and earthy notes creating a bold flavor that threads throughout the taste. The hops are balanced by a core of roasty malts that give this brew body and richness with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry citrusy hop finish.
At Sam Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations.

Like other American-ized versions of English style beers, the American India Pale Ale (IPA) differs from it's English counterpart in it's strong use of American style hops. Generally stronger in bitterness and characterized by a grapefruit and/or citrus flavor, American IPA's are near the high end of the bitterness scale among all beer styles.
